Good Sunday morning. My project today was made for the November Challenge Chicks “Wrap it Up” challenge. The challenge is to make a tag that coordinates with some of your pretty wrapping paper. A new challenge will be posted every month and we would love for you to join us! No stress, no deadlines… just lots of fun! Please play along with us and link your projects on The Challenge Chicks Community Facebook page. Use keyword CHXNOV15 for your Splitcoaststampers gallery upload.
I purchased this large roll of wrapping paper from Costco years ago and it just keeps on keeping on. I used tons of it and it is still quite full. I love the sweet holiday images in the pattern and decided it would be fun to have my tag mimic the Christmas tree on the paper. I cut one of the three tags from the Impression Obsession Merry Christmas Tag Set in red and cut one from the set that was a little smaller in white. I cut the sentiment off the white one and attached it to the red using ATG adhesive. I attached a strip of gold foil paper along the bottom of the white edge to create a border for the tree. Sadly the gold doesn’t show well in the photo. I cut the Christmas Tree from the Christmas Icon set in green and layered it over top of a piece of red scrap paper. I cut a gold foil star from the Sun and Moon set and attached it to the top of the tree with glossy accents. I placed a small piece of mounting tape to the back of the tree and attached it to the tree.
I attached a bright red multi loop bow to the tag and attached it to the package. I usually put the “From and To” on the back of my tags so it doesn’t distract from the design.
I couldn’t resist showing some of the groupings of tags I have made during past holiday seasons. There really is no end to the fun you can have coming up with ideas to decorate your tags. Any thing goes- candy canes, gingerbread men, evergreen trees and deer, snowmen, window scenes, bells, candles, cardinals, pine. Let your imagination go wild! I’ll link some of the dies I used for these projects as well as the ones for todays project.

Oh My Gosh, Kittie, I can’t imagine how long it took to make these adorable tags, they are to die for! I love them all! By placing one with the Christmas paper illustrates how fabulous they are on that beautiful traditional paper. You’ve hit it out of the ball park again sweet friend!
I adore your tags…you are so right…lots of fun to make. I find it a good way to use those small leftover pieces of cardstock. Love the idea of coordinating the tag to the wrapping paper. I know what you mean about the COSTCO rolls of paper…and have you ever purchased their ribbons? I was in there this past week drooling over the new ones for this year.
Thanks for the great tag ideas…so happy I have many of the same dies you used. (grin)
