Good Saturday morning. I have another floral project to share with you today that was made for the Splitcoaststampers Free For All Challenge to use leftover or recycled items. I had a portion of the Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil Cutting Plate die and several of the negative pieces from the die cut sitting in my “to use later” box. I decided to create a framed quatrefoil see thru window on my card front and embellish it with flowers made from the negative pieces. I paired the Quatrefoil with the My Favorite Things Pierced Rectangle Frames, leaves and stems from the Spellbinders Foliage set and the Impression Obsession Foliage set. The frame rectangle see thru opening was cut using the Nesting Card Templates.
I cut two rectangle frames to use on both the front and inside of the card. I cut the opening in the card base with a rectangle die that was just a little larger than the frame. I applied ATG adhesive to the back of one frame and attached the piece of quatrefoil to it. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the framed quatrefoil and placed it over the opening. I applied ATG adhesive to the back of the second frame and placed it over the opening on the inside of the card to create a nice finish.
I cut three sections of the large leaves and one section of the foliage. I lightly scored the leaves with my leaf tool from Susan’s Garden Tool Kit to form them. I attached two on the top corner and a smaller section on the bottom corner using glossy accents. I formed the negative cuts using my stylus and molding pad, attached the sections together with glossy accents and then attached them to the foliage with glossy accents. I cut the small foliage sections apart and tucked them in around the flowers and attached with glossy accents. I placed snow pearls in the center of each flower for the finishing touch. Just a note: Even though the pearls have sticky backs I always use a little glossy accents for added insurance to make sure they are secure.
Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a great Saturday.

This card is so gorgeous and I love it when I have the same or very similar dies and products….beautiful!!!!
Beautiful Kittie. Those leaves are still my favorite dies after all these years. A very beautiful card.
I love how you made the flowers out of the leftover pieces to the quatrefoil and your colors are just beautiful together. This card is soothing to look at yet so detailed. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Simply lovely Kittie, love all the white and the splash of green…agree with Ann Marie…was just about to say “soothing” then saw above that she said it…funny…we both felt the same…
It seems you have struck a common chord this morning, Kittie, with this beautiful card. Using dies a lot of us have loved for years, recycling bits left from another project that were too good to toss, and choosing a soothing, classic color scheme that speaks volumes in its simplicity. Many thanks once again for inspiring us all!
Your Majesty, Queen of Flowers….
