Good Saturday morning. I have been having so much fun playing with the new Impression Obsession die release. There are several new dies in the release that make fast work of creating holiday cards. I linked several of them at the bottom of my post. There is no one that I know that loves creating projects with lots and lots of details more than me. But when the Christmas holiday gets near I often need to put together a few fast and easy cards. My project today was made using the whimsical Snowman Window Scene and it took about ten minutes to make. I could easily mass produce a bunch of these in no time. Oh…and…have you seen the new line of Taylored Expressions cardstock? I used Cherry Pop for my card base.
The card base is 4.50” square, the white layer is 4.00” square and the red layer is 3.75” square. I attached the front red layer to the white layer with ATG adhesive and then applied mounting tape to the back of the layers and attached them to the card base. I think popping up the layers adds more interest than if it were attached flat to the base.
I attached thin strips of mounting tape to several key spots on the back of the snowman window and attached it to the base.
This die set comes in two pieces. The outer edge of the frame is one piece and can be used alone to cut a solid shaped die cut. You leave the outer frame die off and cut the scene out in a solid piece of cardstock. I made one up to show the difference. I added a scalloped frame in white to add more contrast. I like first card the best.
Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a great weekend.
LOVE IT KITTIE, when you can use the negative area too! 😉 CUTE LITTLE SCENE TOO!
