Snowy Tree and Blog Candy Winners

Good Sunday morning.  Before I start my post I want to thank everyone for your supportive comments on my Nine Year Anniversary post and announce the three winners of my blog candy.  Congratulations to Donna Rinckel with comment #15, Sabrina Radican with comment #34 and Tracy McDonald with comment #79.  Please send me your mailing addresses to email at kittie747@cfl.rr.com and I will get your gifts right out in the mail to you.

My project today was fast and simple and would be an easy one to mass produce for holiday cards.  I love the Hero Arts Color Layering Snowy Tree Stamps  and Color Layering Snowy Tree Frame Cuts.  I thought it was pretty enough to stand alone layered on an oval background with just the touches of sparkle from the glitter and clear sequins. I had the plaid paper on my desk from the project I posted yesterday and decided to use it again.

I attached the designer paper and the dotted layer to the card base using ATG adhesive.  The red and white layers were attached together with ATG adhesive and then attached to the card base with mounting tape.

The tree was stamped on white cardstock with green ink and heat dried.  I used the snow layer stamp to stamp white pigment ink and then embossed with white embossing powder. I cut a second white oval section and cut across the top of it with deckle scissors to create a snowy ground layer.  I applied Cosmic glue to both the tree and ground snow layer and sprinkled with clear glitter.  When both pieces were dry I attached them to the oval base with mounting tape.  The clear sequins were attached with touches of glossy accents.
