Paper Layering Hummingbird and Lawn Fawn Sale

Good Tuesday morning.  My project today was made using the new Hero Arts Paper Layering Hummingbird Pair and the new Penny Black Graceful Greenery paired with the My Favorite Things Pierced Square Frames and Impression Obsession Tiny Flowers.  The lavender frame mat was cut using a square Nestabilities.

I started by attaching the two square frames together with double stick tape and then attached it to the card base using thin strips of mounting tape. I cut three sections of the Graceful Greenery and lightly formed the leaves using my stylus and molding pad. I arranged two of the whole greenery sections around the top of the frame and attached them with glossy accents. I cut the third section into a couple pieces and attached with glossy accents.

I formed the tiny flowers with my stylus and molding pad and attached them to the greenery with glossy accents.  I cut one lavender and one dark purple hummingbird.  I applied rolled up glue dots to the back of the lavender bird and attached it over top of the purple bird and offsetting it slightly to create a dark outline.   I thought the purple outline would allow the bird to show up better against the white background.

I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out but I love the flow of the greenery and flowers around the frame.  I think the hummingbird image is beautiful.  Next time I will try my hand at applying at coloring it.
