Good Tuesday morning. My project today was made using the newly released Impression Obsession Forest Flowers Stamp Set and Forest Flowers Die Set by Pink Ink and was framed using the All-in-One Frames Squares. The gold embossing is a little over the top but it was fun to make.
First I applied embossing magic to hot pressed watercolor paper, stamped the images using versa and then embossed with gold embossing powder. The floral frame was stamped on one piece of paper and the sentiment on another. I lined up the square die over the floral frame and ran it through my big shot. This die cut out the square and the circle opening at the same time. I cut the sentiment layer to fit behind the frame leaving about 1/4” all the way around. I used a versa marker to apply versa to the edges of the sentiment layer and embossed with gold embossing powder. I had to repeat adding versa along the edges one more time to get good coverage and gold embossed a second time. I wanted the outer frame to match with gold trim. I used the versa marker to apply versa on the inside edges of the frame and applied gold embossing powder. I was not quite as successful applying the versa on the curves as I was the straight edge and it looked messy. I used my versa pad to apply versa to the whole frame and embossed it with the gold embossing powder.
I colored all the tiny floral images using Memento markers. They were fun to color. At first I had planned on water coloring them using a brush and marker ink but the images are so tiny I decided to stick with the markers so I could stay inside those tiny lines. I attached the floral frame over the sentiment layer using mounting tape and then attached applied ATG adhesive to the back of the layers and attached to the card base. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the gold frame and attached it to the card base.
I hope you have a good day and I appreciate you coming by.
