Good Sunday morning and Happy Easter. My project today was made using the newly released Impression Obsession Sunny Bunnies Stamp Set and coordinating Sunny Bunnies Die Set. I created a little scene around them using the Leafy Branch, Leaves and Stems, Small Grass Border, Picket Fence, Tiny Flowers and framed using the Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames. There are so many cute images in the Sunny Bunnies set and it was hard to choose which ones I wanted to use first. I finally decided that the momma bunny pushing her wheelbarrow full of eggs was perfect for my Easter Sunday post.
I used my MISTI to stamp the images on hot pressed watercolor paper with black versafine and heat set with my heat gun. I applied pink, blue, and brown ink on an acrylic block to use as a palette using Memento markers and used a small brush mixed with water to pick up the color and painted the images. I stamped two of the bunny so I could use one to cut an extra hat, apron with the front blue arm so I could paper piece it over the main image to add a little dimension. It shows well in person but not so much in the photo. I wanted the foliage, grass and flowers colors to be as soft as those on the bunny. I color washed two pieces of watercolor paper using a large brush, one using Spun Sugar reinker and the other with Shabby Shutters reinker, heat dried and then cut out using the dies.
I applied the grass border to the back of the frame using double stick tape, applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the card base. I formed for the tiny flowers using my stylus and molding pad and attached them to the leafy branch and foliage stems using glossy accents. I applied tiny squares of mounting tape to the back of the leafy branch in several key places, tucked it in behind the grass border and attached it to the card base. I applied mounting tape to the back of the bunny and wheelbarrow and tucked them in behind the grass and attached to the card base. I randomly attached the stems of flowers in around the scene with glossy accents. I cut the picket fence down, added a thin strip of cardstock to the bottom and attached it to the frame with double stick tape. I thought the fence added another element of interest to the scene. I finished by stamping the sentiment with black versafine and embossed with clear embossing powder and attached with mounting tape. I finished by adding one single flower and some leaves to the sign. I added sparkle to the flowers and bunny apron with a clear Spectrum Noir sparkle pen but it doesnโt show in the photos. This is so much cuter in person.
