My project today is a fun out of the box die cut scene with cats framed with a large grouping of circles. The scene was made using Rubbernecker 5117D Bubbles Die, 5142-09 Cats, 5140-01D Upper Case Alpha w/ Stitch, 5140-02D Lower Case Alpha w/ Stitch and 5100-14D Heart Outline Stitch.
Coloring the Die Cut Cats
I cut out the cats die a couple of times using white cardstock. I knew I may need to duplicate one or two of the cats for m scene and also that I may mess one or two of them up. I created several different color cats mainly using distress inks and mini applicators. I created the all black and black and white cats using a black Copic marker.
Creating the Die Cut Scene Layout
The bubbles die is quite large so I created a 6″ x 6″ card base. I laid the bubbles in the center of the card base to get an idea of how much space I needed between the gingham layers. The gingham layers are each 1.50″ deep and leave a space of 3″ for the bubbles frame. The gingham layers were attached to the card base using strips of mounting tape. The bubbles frame was attached using a combination of tiny pieces of mounting tape and rolled glue dots.
Completing the Die Cut Scene
All the cats, heart and alphabet pieces were attached to the care base and gingham layers using pieces of mounting tape. I thought the bubbles and cats looked a little pale against the all white background so I added a few red negative dots back into the frame and attached them with pieces of mounting tape.
For those of you who have cats you know they can walk around on almost anything in the house so walking around on the bubble frame really isn’t too far fetched. LOL! I hope you have enjoyed my crazy card and have been inspired to think out of the box to create your own die cut scene with cats.
