Good Tuesday morning. Before I begin talking about my silhouette flowers card I want to draw your attention to Rubbernecker Stamps sale. Now is the perfect time to check off those items on your wish list. The sale begins today and will end on the 14th. Happy shopping!
I have fallen in love with the 830 Wildflowers in the Wind stamp set and this is the third time I have used it over the last few weeks. The set is basically intended to create a watercolor floral scene like I created in my Framed Watercolor Wildflowers project using markers to apply color to the four individual stamps and misting lightly with water before stamping . Last week I shared the Framed Die Cut Flowers and Wildflowers project that was fast and easy to make using only orange and green ink pads with no misting involved. I used the set today to create a clean and simple, black and white silhouette floral image. In person this is a very striking card. Unfortunately, it was hard to get good photos.
The Silhouette Flowers
I secured the white cardstock and stamps in my MISTI and stamped the images using black versafine ink. I applied clear super fine embossing powder and heated. Once the embossing cooled I placed a piece of waxed paper over the image to protect it and cut it out using the square stitched die.
Assembling the Layers
I cut a small scalloped rectangle, cut it in half and attached it to the top and bottom of the card base using ATG adhesive. I attached the image layer to the die cut frame layer using mounting tape and then attached the whole image layer to the card base with another layer of mounting tape.
I love creating projects with silhouette flowers and especially love the contrast of the black and white. Do you have flower sets that can be used in more than one way? It’s worth the time to look at all of your toys with “new eyes”. I hope you have a great day and don’t forget to check out the Rubbernecker Stamps sale going on this week.

Looks great Kittie…I love silhouettes…have you tried Versa Fine Clair? It is even better than the regular Versa Fine which I have always used. Crisp…but I don’t think embossing it is as good as the original although you can.
This is so sophisticated & just striking with the black on white, Kittie! I LOVE the wispy strokes of this stamp! 😉 BEAUTIFUL!!!
Beautiful, would make a lovely sympathy card too!
Good evening Kittie. Beautiful you can’t beat the elegance of black and white. Gorgeous…….hugs
