My project today is a pretty die cut circle frame with flowers made using Rubbernecker Stamps 5150D Nested Large Scallop Stitch, 5013D Nested Rectangle Small Stitch, 5022 Nested Circle w/ Pierce, 5112D Mixable Flower Stack, 5118D Leaf Group Die and 5147-10D Tiny Flower Buds. I wanted to use this pretty scalloped die on a larger card so I used a 6″ x 6″ card base. I really like how the rectangle pieces have stitching that matches the stitching on the scalloped frame. I think the clean and simple card layout with the rectangle layers and scalloped frame around the pretty floral arrangement.
The Frame and Rectangle Layers
I cut the largest stitched scalloped circle and then used a smaller straight circle die to cut out the framed opening. I cut a rectangle stitched layer, cut it in half and attached it to the top and bottom of the card base using ATG adhesive. I applied mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the card base.
The Flowers and Foliage
I cut one whole set of flowers out and formed the petals of each flower using my needle nose pliers. I tightly attached the tip of the pliers on the edges of the petals and curled them, alternating the directions on each petal to add interest to the flower. I attached the flower layers together using glossy accents and then finished by adding a pre made white Nuvo Crystal Drop to the center and attached with glossy accents.
I cut two or three sections of the leaf group die out, cut the sections apart and began arranging and attaching the leaves under and around the flower using glossy accents. When I was satisfied with how full the foliage was I cut a few sections of the tiny flowers, formed them with my stylus and molding pad and attached them all around the foliage using glossy accents.
I sure do appreciate you coming by today and I hope you have enjoyed seeing my die cut scalloped circle frame with flowers project. I sure had lots of fun making it and I think it would be a perfect card to have on hand for any occasion.
