Happy July 4th. I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Independence Day. My project today is a framed bird house and fence scene card with bright red birds and summer foliage and flowers. I used Rubbernecker Stamps, 5123D Oval Stitch OPC Die Set, 5013D Nestled Rectangle Small Stitch Die Set, 5147-11D Bird House Set, 5142-05D Birds, 5152-01D Picket Fence, 5147-09D Flower Buds, 5147-05D Flower Stems.
The Frame and Fence
I began by cutting the frame sections and fence. I applied double stick tape to the back of the frame to secure the three individual sections in place. Next, I trimmed the fence to fit behind the frame and attached it to the back of the frame using double stick tape. I applied thin pieces of mounting tape to the back of the frame and fence and attached it to the card base.
The Bird House, Birds and Foliage
I assembled the bird house pieces and attached them together using thin strips of mounting tape. I cut sections of the flower stems and birds. I attached foliage to the bird house roof and base using glossy accents. I colored the bird beaks with a black Copic marker and attached them to the bird house using small pieces of mounting tape.
Completing the Framed Bird House and Fence Scene
I cut the tiny flowers and formed them using my stylus and molding pad. I attached a flower to each flower stem using glossy accents. I tucked the stems in behind the frame along the fence line and attached them in place with glossy accents. I filled in the stems by adding a few additional flowers. I finished the scene by attaching one flying bird in the sky area with a piece of mounting tape.
Thank you for coming by today and I hope you have a wonderful July 4th. If you have some time to play today try making your own framed bird house and fence scene. It’s so much fun.
