Today I’m sharing a lighthouse pop up box card made using dies by Rubbernecker Stamps. I used the Lighthouse, Boats, Waves and Small Birds. I used pop up card from The Paper Cut’s A2 Pop Up Box set. The fun paper is from the Carta Bella Deep Blue Sea 6 x 6 Paper Pad. This fun pop up box card went together so quickly. I love the patterned paper and how well it matches the the die cuts images.
Assemble the Pop Up Box
- Cut the layering pieces according to the instructions provided with the kit.
- Attach the paper layers to the card base using double stick tape.
- Apply double stick tape to the tab, line it up and secure the box closed.
- Cut the wave sections to fit the tabs included in the kit and attach them with double stick tape.
- Apply double stick tape to the tabs on both sides and insert them inside the box.
- Attach wave sections to each of the flaps using double stick tape.
Assemble the Lighthouse and Boats
- Cut the lighthouse sections in red and white .
- Attach the coordinating color pieces together using glossy accents.
- Apply mounting tape to the back of the lighthouse and little side house and attach to the card base.
- Cut the boats out using red, white and blue cardstock.
- Attach the coordinating color pieces together using glossy accents.
- Tuck them in behind the waves on the flaps and attach with mounting tape.
- Apply glossy accents to the front of the large boat and attach it to the wave inside the box.
- Finish by cutting one single bird in dark blue and attach to the sky area using a piece of mounting tape.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my lighthouse pop up box card. I think it is so fun and would be perfect for a little boy’s birthday. Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great week.
