I had lots of fun making this vintage truck and flowers card. I love this Carta Bella Flower Market paper and how the Rubbernecker Stamps Truck matches it so perfectly. I filled the back of the truck using Small Ivy and Tiny Flower Buds, framed the scene using the Rectangle Combo #4 and added garden embellishments using the new Cart Accessories #1. The Cart Accessories was made to work with the new Cart and both will be available on the Rubbernecker site today.
The Frame
- Cut the frame using aqua cardstock.
- Turn the two largest frames face down and apply double stick tape all the way around to attach the two sections together.
- Apply mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach it to the card base.
The Vintage Truck
- Cut the truck body out using aqua cardstock.
- Cut the wheels,, bumper and headlight using black, white and gray cardstock.
- Sponge on Tumbled Glass ink to truck body using a mini applicator.
- Assembled the truck parts using mounting tape and glossy accents.
- Cut the ivy using green cardstock and the tiny flowers using light pink, yellow and bright pink cardstock.
- Cut the top half portion off the ivy sections and attach five of them to the back of the truck using glossy accents.
- Form the tiny flowers using a small tipped stylus and molding pad and attach them to the ivy sections using glossy accents.
- Apply mounting tape to the back of the truck and attach to the card base.
The Tiny Garden Embellishments
- Cut the tiny flower pots and watering can using gray cardstock.
- Apply Rusty Hinge ink to the flower pots and touches of Pumice Stone ink to the watering can using mini applicators.
- Attach the tiny pots together using glossy accents.
- Apply one tiny ivy section and tiny flowers to a larger pot using glossy accents.
- Attach the watering can and flower pots to the frame using glossy accents and mounting tape.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my vintage truck and flowers card. I have loved making cards with trucks since Stampin’ Up! came out with the Loads of Love truck set. The little stamped truck image was so much fun to play with and I fussy cut it out more times than I can remember. This die cut truck by Rubbernecker is definitely a step up. Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a great week.
