Today I’m sharing a scene with a die cut old flatbed truck card loaded with apples. This Old Flatbed Truck is one of the newly released dies by Rubbernecker Stamps this week. You can see the complete list of new dies at the bottom of my post. I’m looking forward to creating projects this fall and holiday season with truck loads of pumpkins and Christmas trees. I paired the truck with the Winter Tree, Apple Cart, Small Ivy, Small Birds, Deckle Hills, Nested Deckle Rectangles, Grass #2, Cart Accessories #2 and Cloud Stencil.
The Card Base and Grass Layer
- Cut the deckle layer using white cardstock and the grass layer using green cardstock.
- Apply clouds to the deckle layer using Tumbled Glass ink, an ink blending tool and a Cloud Stencil.
- Attach the grass layer to the cloud layer using pieces of mounting tape.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the cloud layer and attach it to the red card base.
The Truck
- Cut the truck using gray cardstock and the tires and truck accessory parts using black cardstock.
- Apply rust spots to the truck body using Rusty Hinge ink and a mini applicator.
- Assemble the truck parts and attach using glossy accents and strips of rolled double stick tape.
The Apple Tree
- Cut the tree using woodgrain cardstock.
- Apply Antique Linen ink directly to the tree by swiping the ink pad over the tree.
- Cut small ivy using green cardstock and apples using red cardstock.
- Attach the leaves and apples to the tree using glossy accents.
- Tuck the tree in behind the grass layer and attach in place using pieces of mounting tape and small rolled up glue dots.
The Apple Crates, Grass and Birds
- Cut the crates using woodgrain cardstock and more apples using red cardstock.
- Attach the apples to the back of the crates using glossy accents.
- Color the apple stems using a brown marker.
- Cut the birds using red cardstock.
- Cut the grass sprigs using green cardstock.
Complete the Scene
- Attach the small apple crates to the back of the truck using double stick tape.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the truck and attach it to the card base.
- Attach the larger apple crate to the grass using a piece of mounting tape.
- Tuck the grass sprigs in behind the grass layer and attach using glossy accents.
- Attach the birds to the sky area and grass using small pieces of mounting tape.
- Finish the scene by attaching a few apples to the grass using glossy accents.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my die cut old flatbed truck card. This is a perfect masculine card for someone who loves trucks. Thanks for coming by and be sure to hop over to Rubbernecker to check out the site wide sale going on this week.

Love the old rusty trucks, reminds me of the one at the farm just up the road 🙂
I LOVE your card, Kittie. I am steadily building up my collection of Rubbernecker dies based on your tutorials. In fact, I took advantage of their sale and purchase a few items that I need to recreate this card. I truly hope that you continue to share inspiration using that flatbed truck. I am excited to see what you come up with!!
