My project today is a spooky house Halloween card made for Dare To Get Dirty Day 5 of the Splitcoaststampers Dare To Get Dirty week long challenge event. This event is a special thank you to all of the fan club members who support the site all year long. Have you had a desire to be on the Dirty Dozen design team? This special week of challenges will give you tons of opportunity to be inspired and to show off your wonderful and creative projects right along with the current Dirty Dozen team as well as the alumni team members. For this card I used the Rubbernecker Stamps Spooky House, Spooky Tree, Wrought Iron Fence, Witches, Deckle Hills, Birds and Nested Circles.
Assemble the Card Base
- Cut the grass layer using green cardstock and the fence using black cardstock.
- Apply double stick tape to the back of the back grass layer and attach to the purple card base.
- Apply double stick tape to the back of the front grass layer and attach the fence sections.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the grass/fence section and attach to the card base.
Assemble the Spooky House
- Cut the house sections using purple and green cardstock.
- Cut tiny yellow pieces of cardstock and attach to the back of the windows using glossy accents.
- Apply thin pieces of mounting tape to the back of the green roof sections and attach them to the house.
- Apply glossy accents to the door, windows and brick sections and attach them to the house.
- Attach pieces of mounting tape to the back of the house and attach it to the card base.
- Add touches of sparkle to the windows using yellow Stickles.
Finish the Scene
- Use a circle die to cut the yellow moon section, attach the circle to the card base using mounting tape and apply sparkle using a Nuvo shimmer pen.
- Cut the tree, witch and birds using black cardstock.
- Use mounting tape to attach the witch to the moon.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the tree, tuck it behind the grass layer and attach it to the card base.
- Finish the scene by apply tiny pieces of mounting tape to the back of the birds and attach to the card base.
This spooky house Halloween card was lots of fun to make. I think the cartoony house makes such a cute main image for this scene. The Spooky House is part of the new Rubbernecker fall die release. Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day.
