Clean and Simple Flower Card

My project today is a clean and simple flower card made made using the Rubbernecker Nested Rectangle Scallop with Holes, Mixed Flower Stack, Flower #5 (leaves) and the Wishes Your Way sentiment.  When it comes to making clean and simple cards less is definitely more.  The pink card base and white eyelet layer creates the perfect background to set off the beautiful flower and the big leaves.

Come over to my blog to see how I made this pretty clean and simple flower card using a die cut flower and foliage on a decorative white background.

The Clean and Simple Card Base and Sentiment Layer

  • Cut the card base using pink cardstock and the sentiment layer using white cardstock.
  • Stamp the Wishes Your Way sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape on the back of the sentiment layer and attach it to the card base.

The Flower and Leaves

  • Cut three sections of the flower using pink cardstock and one section of the leaves using green cardstock.
  • Place the flower sections face up on the molding pad and form the petals using a round stylus.
  • Begin attaching the layers together using glossy accents and make sure to offset each layer for a natural looking flower.
  • Place the leaves on the molding pad and score each leaf using the leaf tool.
  • Attach the leaf branch to the white layer using glossy accents.
  • Place a large piece of mounting tape to the back of the flower and attach it to the white layer.
  • Note:  Check out my Paper Shaping videos to see how I form my paper flowers.
