Cat greeting cards like these will absolutely WOW your cat loving friends! And while they look super complex, most of the detail is from ONE slimline insert die from Rubbernecker and a few tiny die cuts. Wouldn’t this just be SO purrrrrfect for anyone who loves cats?
For this card I used the Slimline Solid Scallop w/ Holes, Slimline Inside Scallop w/ Teardrops, Cats, Small Birds and Grass.
The Slimline Card Base and Scallop Layer
- Cut the 3.50″ x 8.50″ card base using white cardstock and score lengthwise at 3.50″.
- Use aqua cardstock to cut a 3.25″ x 8.25″ rectangle layer and attach to the card base using ATG adhesive.
- Cut the solid slimline using white cardstock, place it back on the cutting platform, line up the inside slimline die and run though the machine a second time.
- Cut the grass sections using green cardstock and attach each section to the back of the circle frames using ATG adhesive.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the scallop layer and attach it to the card base.
The Cats and Birds
- Cut the cats using white cardstock.
- Apply black markings to one of the cats using a black marker.
- Use mini applicators to apply light brown, dark brown and rust ink to the other two cats.
- Cut the birds using aqua cardstock and color their beaks using a black marker.
- Apply small pieces of mounting tape to the back of the birds and attach them to the scallop layer.
Here are the supplies I used to make this stinkin’ cute cat card:
