White foliage with pops of fall colors make this handmade autumn leaf wreath card something truly beautiful.
This handmade autumn leaf wreath card comes together much faster than it looks and you can customize the color story to any combination you love. I set a few springs of foliage, hand colored with Color Fuse Inks, against more of the same leaves in plain white. This makes the colored leaves absolutely pop and gives tons of textural interest to an otherwise pretty simple card.
To make this card, I used one of the beautiful new designs from Rubbernecker’s new Leaf and Greenery #4 die set, the base form from their Wreath Set, and placed my little element in a frame made with the Deckle Frame Die.
Let me share with you how to make this so you can see how truly easy it is.
Card Base and Deckle Frame
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base.
- Cut the Deckle Frame using orange cardstock.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach it to the card base.
Coloring the Die Cut Leaves
To color the leaves I used Color Fuse Ink Sets 2, 4, and 11.
- Use white cardstock to cut several of the leaf branches from the Leaf and Greenery set. Pro Tip: I didn’t want to cut the whole die each time so I cut pieces of white cardstock large enough to cut the section that I wanted and cut them out individually. It’s a great trick to use to save cardstock.
- Randomly apply Crimson, Fern, Citrus and Pumpkin Color Fuse Ink to the leaves using mini applicators.
- Color the branches using a brown marker.
- Apply VersaMark to each branch and heat emboss using super fine clear embossing powder. This helps to accentuate the colors and adds a beautiful sheen.
Create the Autumn Leaf Wreath
- Cut the wreath base from the Wreath Set using green cardstock.
- Trim off the bottom end of each branch to create a better fit for the wreath.
- Begin attaching the leafy branches to the base using glossy accents. The holly wreath picture below shows how to attach and overlap the curved branches to the base. It’s the exact same technique for this project.
- Continue tucking each branch under the previously attach branch and attach using glossy accents.
To accentuate the beautiful fall colors I chose, I cut several white branches, tucked them in between the branches to make the colors pop and to create a much fuller wreath.
- Apply a generous amount of glossy accents to the back of the wreath and attach it to the card base.
- Create a multi loop bow and attach it to the wreath using several glue dots. Pro Tip: I didn’t have any ribbon that matched well so I cut a long section of organdy ribbon and colored it with an orange Copic marker.

Gorgeous, I love the wreath, like the white with the other colors!
Love that you left some leaves white. I would have never thought of doing that. It’s lovely.
