Cute Die Cut Snowman Card – Fast and Easy!

Today’s die cut snowman card – fast and easy and oh-so cute – comes together in minutes and is perfect for batch making!

I love making snowman cards all through the winter. They can be sweet and playful and you can take them holiday style like today’s or just load them up with winter fun elements for all season long. Today’ die cut snowman card – fast and easy notwithstanding – has enough adorable details to make it “special” enough to serve as your holiday card and since making the little snowmen is just like playing paper doll dress-up, you can turn out a stack of these charming cards in an afternoon.

I used Rubbernecker’s Winter Snowmen, for my star of the show, their Snowflakes die to make those peek-through details, their Christmas Mini and  Tiny Leaves #1 dies for the decorative details and their Inside Scallop Nested and Deckle Hills dies to make the little “landing” for my frosty fellows.

A die cut snowman card - fast and easy yet with tons of cute details - serves as an ideal DIY Holiday card.

Card Base and Peek Through Die Cut Snowflake Layer

  • Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base and a Inside Scallop Nested layer.
  • Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ layer using red cardstock and attach it to the card base using double stick tape.
  • Place the white layer on the cutting platform, secure the Snowflake dies in place with masking tape and run through the machine.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the snowflake layer and attach it to the card base.

This die cut snowman card - fast and easy and just adorable - takes minutes to make, can use up lots of scraps and can be the perfect DIY holiday card this year!

The Die Cut Snowman and Snow Layer

  • Cut the snowman parts out using white, black, orange and red cardstock.
  • Attach the two snowman layers together using glossy accents.
  • Apply glossy accents to the red hat band, attach it the top hat and attach to the snowman head with a piece of mounting tape.
  • Attach the red scarf sections to the snowman using double stick tape.
  • Use glossy accents to attach the carrot nose, eyes, mouth and buttons to the snowman.
  • Add holly leaves and a red berry to the hat  and scarf using glossy accents.
  • Use green and red cardstock to cut the Christmas Wreath, attach the sections together using glossy accents .
  • Attach the wreath to the snowman body using mounting tape and then attach the stick arms using glossy accents.
  • Finish by cutting a small circle with your favorite circle die using white cardstock and then use the Deckle Hill die to cut the top section of the snow layer. PRO TIP: Cut lightly less than half and you can get two little “landings” out of each circle.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the snowman and snow layer and attach them to the card base.

All the details on this die cut snowman card - fast and easy and using a minimum of supplies - can be made ahead and assembled as you need to send cards out for the winter holidays.
