This is not my first idea for white on white scene cards for Christmas. One of my all-time most popular cards is very similar to this one with white on white, touches of red and beautiful elegant deer. It was one that I created for batch making and so many of you told me that you, too, mass produced that card and I was so happy! Don’t let these Stacked Forest layers scare you. They line up and fit together perfectly and you can add any embellishments you want.
To make this card I used the newly released Brass and Bliss Stacked Forest, Deer Family, Small Birds and Greenery #1.
Card Base and Stacked Forest Layers
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base and the three Stacked Forest layers.
- Apply strips of mounting tape along the back top and bottom of each layer.
- Begin by attaching the back layer directly to the card base.
- Line up and attach the middle and front layers over the back layer to create the layered scene.
Deer and Greenery
- Use white cardstock to cut the mother and baby deer from the Deer Family set.
- Cut two sets of the Greenery #1 die using white cardstock.
- Tuck the mother deer behind the last tree layer and attach in place using a large piece of mounting tape.
- Attach the baby deer behind the front layer with a piece of mounting tape. Pro Tip: I trimmed off the baby deer legs a little to fit better in the scene.
- Trim pieces of greenery branches, tuck them in behind the layers and attach using glossy accents.
Finish the Scene
- Cut the Small Birds using red cardstock.
- Color their beaks using a black marker.
- Apply small pieces of mounting tape to the back of the birds and attach them to the scene.
- Cut a tine section of Greenery #1 and punch out red circles to decorate the deer necks.
- Attach the greenery and red circles to the deer neck using glossy accents.
