Are you looking for batch card making ideas for Christmas? This easy layout is perfect for holiday cards but can be used for any occasion.
I love coming up with something fast and easy that you can use for batch card making ideas for Christmas cards. What other time of the year do we need ideas like this more? For this card I used the newly released Brass and Bliss Holly Jolly 6×6 Paper Pad and This Christmas Set. I used the Nested Square Small Stitch layers for the sentiment added the tiny star from the Winter Minis set.
Card Base
Designer paper is a great way to create an interesting background to highlight a focal image or sentiment. I like adding a little more dimension using something as simple as a crimped layer.
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base.
- Cut a 5.50″ x 4.25″ layer from the Holly Jolly paper pad. Pro Tip: I trim about 1/16″ off the long side of the card base and the bottom layers to make it easier to line up and attach the designer paper layer.
- Attach the designer paper to the card base using double stick tape.
Nested Layers and Sentiment
- Use red and white cardstock to cut the Nested Square Small Stitch layers.
- Insert the white layer and the This Christmas Set sentiment in the MISTI and stamp using Shady Lane Versafine Clair.
- Attach the white and red layers together using double stick tape.
- Crimp a green strip to fit across the card front and attach it using strips of mounting tape.
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the back top and bottom sentiment layer and attach it to the card base.
- Finish by adding a little touch of red with the tiny star from the Winter Minis set.
