  • Apply double stick tape to the back of the back grass layer and attach to the purple card base.
  • Apply double stick tape to the back of the front grass layer and attach the fence sections.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the grass/fence section and attach to the card base.

Come check out how I made this fun spooky house Halloween card.

Assemble the Spooky House

  • Cut the house sections using purple and green cardstock.
  • Cut tiny yellow pieces of cardstock and attach to the back of the windows using glossy accents.
  • Apply thin pieces of mounting tape to the back of the green roof sections and attach them to the house.
  • Apply glossy accents to the door, windows and brick sections and attach them to the house.
  • Attach pieces of mounting tape to the back of the house and attach it to the card base.
  • Add touches of sparkle to the windows using yellow Stickles.

Finish the Scene

  • Use a circle die to cut the yellow moon section, attach the circle to the card base using mounting tape and apply sparkle using a Nuvo shimmer pen.
  • Cut the tree, witch and birds using black cardstock.
  • Use mounting tape to attach the witch to the moon.
  • Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the tree, tuck it behind the grass layer and attach it to the card base.
  • Finish the scene by apply tiny pieces of mounting tape to the back of the birds and attach to the card base.

Come see how I made this colorful spooky house Halloween card.

This spooky house Halloween card was lots of fun to make.  I think the cartoony house makes such a cute main image for this scene.  The Spooky House is part of the new Rubbernecker fall die release.  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day.

Impression Obsession Happy Haunting Halloween

Good Thursday morning.  My projects today were made for the Impression Obsession Happy Haunting Halloween design team challenge.  I sure hope you’ll come and play along with us.  You can see all the challenge details and prize information on the Impression Obsession Blog.

I’m not fond of horror Halloween themes so I usually choose more cartoony dies and stamps to play with.  My first project was made with the Spider Web Background, Spider Trio and All-in-One Frames Rectangles 2.  I would not want to run into a spider web with these three scary spiders in it.  LOL!

Come see how I made this sppoky spider Impression Obsession happy haunting Halloween card.

The Spider Web, Frame and Spiders

  • Cut the spider web background using white cardstock.
  • Cut the frame and spiders using black cardstock.
  • Apply double stick tape to the back of the frame and attach the spider web background.
  • Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach it to the orange card base.
  • Lightly form the spider bodies using a large stylus and molding pad and bend their legs a little with your fingers create the appearance of movement.
  • Apply double layered pieces of mounting tape to the back of the spiders and attach them to the orange card base.

My second card was made using the Halloween Cutout Circles and All-in-One Frames Rectangles 2.  I think these small circle silhouettes are so fun used all together on one card but would be very cute used individually one small cards or tags.  And again, these are all whimsical images that are full of Halloween fun and not  yucky horror type images.  Come see how I made this fun Impression Obsession happy haunting Halloween card.

The Circle Cutouts and Frame

  • Line the circles up on the black cardstock and cut them.  The circles come tabbed together but I never cut them apart so it would be easier to cut them so they were all lined up perfectly.
  • Cut the frame using orange cardstock.
  • Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame.
  • Attach the circle layer to the back of the frame.
  • Apply double stick tape to the back of the circle layer and frame and attach a piece of orange cardstock behind the openings.  I wanted the circle images to lay flat against the orange background..
  • Attach the completed circle frame to the black card base using double stick tape.

I hope my fast and easy Impression Obsession Happy Haunting Halloween cards have inspired you to get out your dies and stamps.  Halloween is just around the corner.  I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by.  Thanks for coming by and I hope you’ll hop over to the Impression Obsession blog to check out the challenge and the list of other team members who have projects to share.

Impression Obsession “Haunted Greetings” Challenge

Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession “Haunted Greetings” design team challenge.  I’m not so fond of spooky or scary Halloween projects so I tend to stick with things that are more on the fun and cute side.  I decided to do something a little different today and made the majority of my project black and white.  My card was made using the Square Tree Window, Boo and Mini Bats.  The designer paper in the background is Essentials by Ellen Modern Graphics.

KC Impression Obsession Boo 1 right

I started by attaching the designer paper to the card base using ATG adhesive.  I then attached mounting tape to the back of the tree window frame and attached it to the card base.  I die cut the Boo and accessories in black, white and orange so I could layer them to create a shadow of color so they would show up better on the black and white background.  I attached the ghost, cat and witch hat to the colored background piece with glossy accents.

KC Impression Obsession Boo 1 center

The Boo sentiment was attached to the frame with pieces of mounting tape. The hat, cat and ghost were attached to the Boo with pieces of mounting tape.  I finished by adding a few white bats to the frame for a white contrast against the black frame.

All Inside Bear Halloween Scene

Good Tuesday morning.  Ellen Hutson released Julie’s All Inside Stamp Set and coordinating All Inside Die Set early in 2016 and they have become very popular.  In the summer of 2016 Bear Ware Stamp Set and Bear Ware Die Set  were released with a wonderful collection of images to coordinate with the All Inside bear.  Due to the popularity of the Bear Ware accessory images Julie created a new coordinating accessory set of Halloween and Christmas images- Bear Ware 2 Stamp Set and Bear Ware 2 Die Set.  I have to admit that these are my favorite images.  Since I hate spooky and gory Halloween stuff I especially love the fun and innocent images in the set.  I will have to play with the Christmas images very soon. I wonder what Julie will come up with next for this precious bear? The frames were made using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables and Hero Arts Infinity Nesting Rectangles.  The leaves were made using the Impression Obsession Oak Leaves and Rake set.

KC Essentials by Ellen Bear Ware 2 1 right

I started by securing the cardstock and stamps in my MISTI, applied ink and stamped them all at once.  Using my MISTI also allowed me to stamp the images a second time to get  good crisp images.  I heat set the images before coloring.

bear ware misti

I don’t often color with my Copic markers since I am so challenge with them but I figured I couldn’t go too wrong for these fun cartoony images. Once they were all cut out with the coordinating dies I used the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens- Amethyst, Harvest Moon and Emerald Green to add sparkle to the mask, leaves, hat trim and pumpkin.  Sadly all that sparkle doesn’t show well in the photos.  I love the different theme colored Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen sets

KC Essentials by Ellen Bear Ware 2 1 center

The front frame was attached to the green layer using thin strips of mounting tape. They were both attached to the back scalloped layer with double stick tape and then they were attached to the card base using double stick tape.

I assembled all the pieces to create my scene.  The mask, hat and Jack-o-Lantern were attached to the bear using glue dots.  The Boo bag was attached using a small piece of mounting tape. The bear was attached to the card base using mounting tape. The leaves were attached to the tree using glossy accents and then the tree was attached to the card base with thin strips of mounting tape.  The broom and cat were attached with mounting tape.  I finished by applying a few leaves falling from the tree and to the frame.

I certainly wouldn’t be scared if this guy came to my door Trick-or-treating because he looks so cute with his witch costume and little kitty friend.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you are having a great day.

Halloween Scene Cards

Good Thursday morning.  I have fun Halloween cards to share with you today.  I am not fond of spooky or scary Halloween cards and Impression Obsession has some  new scene dies that are cartoony and fun.  I thought I would take a few step by step photos of to show how fast and easy these  framed scene cards come together.  The first card was made using the Witch Line and the second with the Halloween Scene

Project Pieces and Supplies

Witch Line, Black Frame 4.50”, White Frame 4.25”, Card Base 5.00” Square, Mounting Tape

1

1.  Apply thin strips of mounting tape all the way around the back of the black frame and a few small pieces in the corners and attach it to the white frame.

2

3

2.  Attach thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the double matted frame and attach to the card base.

4

3.  Attach small pieces of of mounting tape to the back of several of the key pieces of the Witch Line and attach it to the card base.

5

6

Here’s my second card that was just as fast and easy as the card above.  The Halloween Scene die creates it’s own frame.  I cut it out using a 4.50” black frame.

halloween scene

I attached the die cut frame to the 5.00” square card base using thin strips of mounting tape and dressed it up by adding an orange scalloped frame from the All-in-One Frames Circles for a little bit more contrast for the scene.

Here’s a card I posted a while back made with the new Halloween Web with lots of fun Halloween images added around the frame.
