Good Tuesday morning! Rubbernecker Stamps and The Twinery design teams have joined forces to bring you a fun blog hop with lots of wonderful creations and great prizes. Rubbernecker will be giving a $25 gift certificate and The Twinery will be giving away an “I Dream in Color “ Sampler Pack valued at $32. You can check out all the details on the Stampin’ Sisterhood Blog or The Twinery Blog.
All you have to do to qualify for one of the two blog prizes is leave a comment on each stop along the hop. If you came here from Kathy Skou’s blog then you are in the right place. When you leave here you will be finished with the hop and you can go to either the Stampin’ Sisterhood Blog or The Twinery Blog for all the details.
My project today is made with Rubbernecker’s Frog Fishing and Mandarin twine from The Twinery. I love to create dimensional scenes and the Frog Fishing gave me a perfect main focal point to build a scene around with foliage, cattails, water and a darling striped fishing line to add dimension and texture.
I started by stamping the frog twice on watercolor paper, watercoloring with Distress Ink. I cut the frog and fishing rod out of the first one and pop it up over the second. I cut a piece of twine and glued to the fishing rod with Glossy Accents and left plenty to attach down in the water later on. I cut a piece of watercolor paper to use as the base for my scene and used an Inkssentials Ink Blending tool and handmade cloud template to sponge in sky and water.
I die cut two Poppy Stamps Grassland Borders and attached them to the background base. I created a double matted frame using Spellbinders oval dies and layered over the grass and card base attaching with mounting tape. I tucked the frog in between the grasses and popped him up with mounting tape. I glued the twine fishing line down in behind the foliage with Glossy Accents. I stamped a few extra cattails, cut them out and placed among the grass and added a few punched pieces of foliage from Martha Stewart’s Branch punch and Punch Bunch Ash Leaf.
I love red and green together the red butterflies seemed like the perfect finishing touch to soften and add colorful interest to the scene.
I hope you have enjoyed our blog hop. We sure had lots of fun bringing it to you today.

What a gorgeous card (as usual!). I always adore the dimension in your cards, and although this one is whimsical it still has a bit of elegance to it.
