Good Sunday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. The inspiration site was Badgley Mischka and I was inspired by this Tuxedo Sequin Jacket.
I love cream and black together. We don’t usually think of black for foliage but I like the contrast of the frame and foliage against the cream background and flowers.
The embossed background is perfect behind the black scalloped frame. The flowers were centered in the opening and attached on mounting tape to set them as high as the frame.
The foliage and sprigs were pushed and attached in behind the flowers using my paper piercer and glossy accents. The foliage softened the design and the cream pearls added a special touch in the flower centers.
Do you have intricate dies that are hard to cut perfectly. I have several that have frustrated me over and over. I found the Memory Box Metal Adapter Plate to be the perfect solution and have not had the issue since I started using it. I wanted to share this as I think you will find it as beneficial as I did if you give it a try.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and have all of your Christmas preparations finished so you can enjoy your Christmas Eve. Thanks for stopping by today.

I haven’t used or heard of the adapter plate…. I’ll have to do some looking into it cuz I’ve had issue’s with some of my dies….

Yes, those colors goes so well together, lovely card!
This is truly gorgeous, a work of art.
Your flowers are just stunning! Thanks for the tip on the adapter plate. I will have to give that a try, as I have the same problem all the time.
dear Kitty, i look at your beautiful art work every posting, your talent continues to bless and inspire me…
your work is always outstanding, thanks for sharing your art in such a generous way.
Very striking – love the black and cream combo. Thanks so much for the tip about the metal adapter plate. I was very disappointed in the cut I was getting from the pine spray and the latest butterfly die I bought. I will definitely be ordering that.
Lovely card. I agree that black and cream make a nice color pairing. It’s so elegant and appropriate for many special occasions as well as some sad ones like sympathy cards. I have to make sympathy cards in advance and have them on hand because whenever there is really a need to send one, my brain seems to shut down and I have such a difficult time with it.
Gorgeous, love that die framing with the embossing, thanks for the tip, I have had a few that are frustrating to cut!
Beautiful card,love your flowers…
Beautifully done Kittie!
Stunning!! Love your cards!!
Gorgeous card, those are my favorite colors. All your cards are so beautiful. Love checking out your blog.
Beautiful card, Kittie! The high contrast of the colours make the overall effect of the card so striking. I use the metal adapter plate with all of my intricate dies and really don’t know what I would do without it.
