Snowy Pine Tree Village

Good Monday morning!  I have a fun snowy pine tree village scene  to share with you today.

I started out to make a shaker card with this little scene but after I got the house and tree layers in place I thought the flower soft or glitter may get stuck around behind it so I settled for this open frame.

I cut the frame to use as my guide to create the scene. I wanted the ground area to be white for snow so I cut the tree and house layers in white and colored them with distress markers.

I attached the layers together over a piece of Tina Wenke’s sweet holiday designer paper and cut it out to fit inside the frame.  I applied glossy accents over the snowy areas and dusted with ultra fine flower soft. Here’s a closer view.

I attached the scene to the embossed base card and mounted the frame with mounting tape. I created a bough pine to add an additional Christmas touch.

I hope you have a great week and I appreciate you stopping by.

  1. Amazing! It’s like the view from a spyglass down onto a sleepy Christmas village. It’s just so nostalgic….The red frame really makes everything pop.

  2. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous card. Love everything about it. The red frame just makes the whole card pop. I want you to know that your designs cost me a lot of money since I usually order the dies you use and try to reproduce your beautiful creations! :0) Have you thought about writing a book since you do such lovely creations? Hope you have a great week, too.
