Good Saturday morning. It has been a couple of days since I was able to post. Work has been very busy and I get home tired. On top of that I had cataract surgery this week and have been recuperating. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Free For All Challenge to make a Christmas in July card but the catch was to use summer colors. I went with pink and spring moss green with lots of white.
I started by cutting the tree lines and and white snow layers and crimping for texture and dimension. I cut the house twice, once in green and the second in white so I could cut and trim the house.
I attached the tree and snow layers to the card and then cut and attached the frame with mounting tape. I tucked the house in behind the frame and mounted it to the base with mounting tape. I added the stars in the sky and one on the tree in front of the house. I arranged little pine boughs and pink flowers to the fence, roof top and door to add a festive holiday feel. I added yellow stickles to the stars for the finishing touch.
Here’s a close up view from the side to show the dimension. I love the whimsy of the pink and green with the popped up stars in the sky.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

SUPER cute and creative! Love the snowy hills w/the crimped trees and pink buds decos. Such a wonderful scene. 🙂

AB FAB LOVE IT
Beautiful. I love pink at Christmas.
very pretty layering and love the papers you have chosen, gives it such great dimension….. hope your doing well after your surgery!
Love this card Kitty! When I had mine, the doctor tweaked things and I was able to discard reading glasses. I could again see tiny things and colors better. Cardmaking was soooo much better.

This is so adorable! Love it! Hope your vision is better than ever. Can’t wait til mine gets bad enough to be fixed so I can quit seeing “ghosts”. Might improve my cards, LOL!
Lovely card! Hope you are taking care of yourself so that we can continue enjoy your creations.
What an amazing card!
