Angelic tree

My project today was made using the Impression Obsession Angelic Tree image paired with the Circle Shaker Frames, pine and holly from the Twig Wreath Set and the Fence Trio .

I stamped the image on watercolor paper with black versafine, heat set and watercolored using distress ink reinkers and a waterbrush.  I applied clouds around the image using an ink blending tool and a hand cut cloud template.  I applied glossy accents around the scene and sprinkled glitter around it to make it sparkle.  Too bad you can’t see how sparkly it is in these photos.

I applied tiny liquid applique dots on the card base to create a snowy background for the framed scene.  I cut two pieces of cardstock with my deckle scissors, crimped with the wave crimper and attached to the bottom of the card base.  I tucked in a section of fence on both sides of the card and attached the framed angle scene with mounting tape.

I attached a simple bow to the frame and added a few pieces of pine and holly for added embellishment and applied a little glossy accents and glitter for a sparkly finishing touch.KC Impression Obsession Angelic Tree 1 close right

  4. Kittie, you packed lots of things in here. First, I have never seen a “wave” crimper before and how uniquely you used it! I also have seen others talk about using that wreath for embellished edges before but couldn’t figure out how those pine sprigs were in the wreath. I had my ah-ha moment when I finally looked closely at the picture of the wreath and saw the “other” pieces. Guess that will teach me!

  8. Love how you made your snowbanks, both the deckle edges and the crimping gives them a more real look than plain cardtsock.

  9. I really like the idea of framing part of the scene. I also really like the way you added dimension to the snow with the wavy crimper.
