Good Saturday morning. I hope you are enjoying your weekend morning as much as I am. My project today was made for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge and a wedding Loverly is our inspiration site. I was inspired by several photos in the Christmas wedding section.
Here’s what I came up with.
I cut a couple bare branches and several spiral flowers out of kraft cardstock and sponged them with brown ink. I thought the flowers done in brown would look like tiny pinecones. I rolled and formed them with tweezers and adhered them together with glossy accents. I cut several sets of the pine sprigs and attached them to the branches with glossy accents. I finished the branch by attaching the pinecones.
I cut the frame and background layers and attached them to the card base. Both the white spellbinders layer and shaker frame were attached with mounting tape to add dimension. I attached rolled glue dots to the back of each pinecone and attached the branch over the frame opening. I attached a few pieces of cut branch around the frame corner, attached the multi loop bow and finished by adding a few more sprigs of pine. Here’s a closer view.
Old-fashioned pine, pinecones and gingham are some of my favorite Christmas decorations. I thought the pine on this card was highlighted perfectly with the red and white layers.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing another way to use the bare branch on your projects. It really is one of my all-time favorite dies.
Have a great Saturday and I hope you can take some time to get in your craft room.
