Fall Leaves and Precious Treasure

Good Thursday morning.  I can’t seem to get enough of creating fall leaves with Pan Pastel.  My project today was made using Impression Obsession Leaves paired with the Bare Branch, Spellbinders Matting Basics A and B and the Impression Obsession Precious Treasure sentiment.

I started by coloring the leaves with Pan Pastel. You can see step by step photos of how I color the leaves here. I cute several branches and sponged on brown ink.  I formed the leaves and the branches with my stylus and molding pad to add dimension..

I created a double matted frame and attached to the card base with mounting tape.  I attached the branches under the corner of the frame with glossy accents and randomly attached the leaves to the branches with glossy accents.  I wanted the branches to look a bit wild and natural with only a smattering of leaves left.

Here’s a closer view.  You can click on the photos for an even larger view.  I think the branches and leaves really capture the look of fall.

  1. Wonderful fall card! Like the branches and beautifully colored leaves. Like the way the branches are “tucked” into the corner (frame.) 🙂

  3. Beautiful fall card. The leaves are so vibrant and real. I’ve been thinking about purchasing the Pan Pastels set of colors but I’m not sure what the product actually is. Are they a chalk powder or are they creamy? The colors are so rich… love them. Have you used the Pan Pastels on other projects? Thanks for always inspiring us papercrafters!

  4. I have not come across this branch die but now it’s on my ‘wish list’! lol I love the way you have put the branches and leaves together so it looks like a real branch coming off the page. And the colours of the leaves with the pan pastels is amazing. They blend in so well.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful work! 🙂

  5. Good Morning, Kittie, I love your fall card. Those leaves are gorgeous. I too, am interested in the pastels you use to color. They blend well, but cost is one reason I haven’t purchased as yet. Just keep us inspired, and the budget will get inspired too.
(the pastels are gorgeous colors for all seasons)
