Good Friday morning. My project today was made using the Hero Arts Color Layering Snowy Tree set and the Color Layering Snowy Tree Frame Cuts set. I used the same basic layout as the card I did for my post in the CLASSroom on Wednesday but used brushed silver cardstock. Sadly the pictures don’t show off how pretty and sparkly the paper is with the white embossed trees and silver lined ribbon. It was a fast and easy card to make and would be perfect to do in any color for mass producing holiday cards. The set has three trees for layering color but I only used the defined branch tree. I’m not sure but I believe the brushed silver paper is from Stampin’ Up!. The ribbon is from a 100 yard bolt that I saved from my mother’s flower shop when she sold it back in the 70s.
I stamped the trees and sentiment on the card base layer and individual tree layer using versa and embossed with white embossing powder. I cut the individual tree out using the coordinating die.
I attached the silver lined ribbon to the front of the tree layer and attached on the back with ATG adhesive. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the tree layer and attached to the card base. The individual tree was attached with mounting tape.
Thanks for coming by today. Just so you know the Color Layering Snowy Tree set is on sale for 10% off at Ellen Hutson along with all in-stock Hero Arts items. Sale ends today.
