My project today was made using the new Fall Pathway, Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames and Leaves.  I started by stamping the tree image  on hot pressed watercolor paper using black versafine and heat setting the ink.  I colored the images using a brush and Vintage Photo, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey Distress reinkers.  I sketched in some grass sprigs using a Peeled Paint marker and then pulled the color out using a wet brush to fill in the ground area.  I sponged the sky area using Broken China ink and an ink blending tool.  The scene and brown crimped strip was attached to the card base with ATG adhesive.  I attached two sections of the 6-in-1 frames together with double stick tape and then applied thin strips of mounting tape and attached it to the card base.

I colored leaves from the Small Leaf Set using Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey and  mini applicators.  I have attached a few step by step pictures from one of my past posts to show how I apply color to the leaves.

When the leaf is totally covered with ink I apply versa, apply clear embossing powder and heat emboss.  Embossing the leaves really enhances the color and makes them come alive.

I gently formed the leaves with my fingers and attached them to the frame corners with glossy accents.

Your next step on the hop will be Laura’s blog

I was on vacation this past week in Cape Hatteras, NC with my family and had such a great time.  I fully intended to have some blog posts in place to publish while I was gone but never got to it.  You know what they say about good intentions…..right!  LOL! Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

  5. I so appreciate getting card ideas, but also enjoy seeing other types of projects that are decorated with stamped images — shows the versatility of stamps.

  6. Your sample and description of how to watercolored the stamped scene made me reconsider this set. I just couldn’t get past the (excuse the pun) stick drawing to see it for more than that until your card. So pretty!
