A Gorgeous White on White Winter Card Idea!

Come see how you can use this white on white winter card idea to create something so spectacular for just about any occasion.

Today I am sharing an easy to make but loaded with detail white on white winter card idea that you can adapt for almost any card sending purpose.  While the greenery is reminiscent of the holidays, you can simply change the color of the little bows and instantly give this winter scene more of a seasonal feel. And because all the hard work was done with dies from Rubbernecker, making this card was a matter of simply cutting and layering. I used their Half Tree, Picket Fence, Winter Door Parts, Deckle Hills and Small Birds dies to make my elements and below I will give you all my steps for putting them together to make the scene. Of course, you can adapt this to use what you have in your own stash!  Check out my Batch Card Making Ideas for Christmas to see another example using a few different dies but getting the same effect.

Card Base, Tree and Snow Layer

  • Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base and a 4.75″ x 3.50″ layer.
  • Emboss the white layer using the Sizzix Snowfall Speckle embossing folder.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the snow layer and attach it to the card base.
  • Cut the Half Tree using white cardstock and trim off the bottom to fit to fit within the snow layer.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the tree trunk and large branch, tiny pop dots to a few key spots  on the back of branches and attach it to the card base.

Falling snow, a wintry tree, a classic picket fence and a snowbank make up the elements for this beautiful and serene white on white winter card idea.

Picket Fence and Decorative Accessories

  • Use white cardstock to cut two sections of the Picket fence.
  • Attach the two sections together using glossy accents and trim to fit across the snow layer base.
  • Cut a 3/16″ strip to fit across the fence top using white cardstock and attach it to the fence using a strip of double stick tape.
  • Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of every other picket and attach to the card base.
  • Use white cardstock to cut the Deckle Hills snow layer and attach it to the card base using a strip of mounting tape.
  • Use red and green cardstock to cut greenery and bow sections from the Winter Door Parts set.
  • Attach the green branch sections and bows to the fence using glossy accents.
  • Finish the scene by attaching two red birds using small pieces of mounting tape.

  1. I love the elegant simplicity of this card. I think it might be fun to eliminate the fence, add another snow hill and a snowman in all white with red and black accents.
