Holly Framed Trees

Good Sunday morning.  I recently purchased the Memory Box Jolly Holly Frame and couldn’t wait to use it.  I thought it would be pretty to create a nature scene in the frame opening.  I thought it would look like you were looking through close up branches out to a scene in the distance.

I applied ink to the tree stamp, misted with water , stamped on the cardstock and repeated the steps to stamp across the whole page. I heat dried the trees and then sponged in blue ink in the sky area using an ink blending tool. I finished by laying the scene in my splatter cubby and  splattering white gesso to create the soft falling snow.  I hand cut a piece of white cardstock to create the snow bank and attached it directly to the scene base.

I applied stickles to all the red holly berries, set aside to dry and then attached it to the card base with thin strips of mounting tape.  I love the falling holly branches.  I think they look so pretty.
